Here is my 2003 Honda VTX 1300. The bike was delivered with a simple black finish. I kept the black as the base, and dulled it with 1000 grit wet sand paper. I prefer the skinnier flames, and taped out the job accordingly. Some folks on the sidelines have commented that they look mildly “evil”. Bwahaahaahaa! I like ‘em!
The flames were sprayed with House of Kolor Gold Pearl. The entire job was then sprayed with 3 coats of House of Kolor Brandy Wine Kandy, and then 2 coats of clear.
You can see the effect I have achieved is somewhat subtle, definitely custom, and very cool!
