This
is an interesting story. This customer wanted a custom flame
job on his bike. His wife, however, would only go for the paint
job if a wolf image was incorporated into the design. The cost
of having a wolf painted airbrushed onto the tank was prohibitive.
We managed to get a custom decal of the wolf image made for a reasonable
cost, thus bringing the overall cost of the project back into the
customer’s budget. The customer was thrilled!
The project
went something like this: Original paint was stripped and the
parts sand blasted. Parts were primed and a black base was applied,
followed by a coat of Dupont Crystal Pearl. The wolf decal was
then applied and the flames tapped out. Flames were sprayed
with House of Kolor Wild Cherry Kandy using Violet Pearl Outlines.
Job was cleared and buffed.
This is an unusual job for sure… and the
customer loves it!
